Mode of Operation

CSB® is a self-sufficient working system supported by GPS/GSM. It communicates online over the world-wide available GSM-network with a computer-based station.

The CSB® can be connected with a personally-owned base station or used with service providers like Bosch Sicherheitssysteme GmbH, which also offers international intervention in case of emergencies.

The CSB® consists of a main device with additional sensors. The main device CSB® solar is attached to a trough on the top of the container with a removable magnetic fixing. In comparison, the other main device CSB® compact is mechanically attached to the stay bars of the container. The sensors are magnetically attached inside the container. All sensors communicate on short-range radio signals with the main unit.

The basic package includes the CSB® and a sensor that monitors the opening and closing of the door, as well as new sources of light inside the container. In addition, CSB® solar also recognizes door openings., while this feature is already integrated in the CSB® compact main device.

In addition, the CSB® can be easily modified to monitor customer related matters like boundary values of the temperature, humidity, or chemical-physical processes, based on several available sensors.

We are currently developing new sensors which will not only be able to measure exceeding or falling values, but are also able to submit live data. Furthermore it will be possible to monitor and check the contents of a container for integrity by equipping items with RFID-transponders and scanning them while packing the container.

Basically all sensors identify themselves over a unique programmable code with the respective CSB®.

A built-in shock sensor monitors the handling of the container, as well as accelerating forces, regarding possible valuable goods, such as IT or medical equipment.

Special mounting devices for non-magnetic containers, e.g. reefer-, tank- or other containers, the CSB® compact is usually used.

Since most containers travel only one-way, one has to make sure that the the CSB® can be safely returned. Therefore, CSB® soloar uses a stable transport box with a carrying bag, while CSB® compact uses a transport suitcase.

The transport box automatically shuts down the device for safe return even in planes. In addition, the transport suitcase of the CSB® compact comes with an integrated charger, to allow chargers while residing inside the box.
